Have you ever asked the question, 'What is a toxic relationship?' 'What does it look, feel and sound like?' What are the signs of a toxic relationship after all? Relationships should be a source of joy and support.
However, not all relationships are created equal; some could turn toxic, casting shadows on our well-being.
Understanding what defines a toxic relationship is crucial for our mental and emotional health.
As we delve into 'what is a toxic relationship?', I'll dissect the intricacies of toxic relationships, offering clarity on recognising, addressing, and ultimately breaking free from their grasp and moving forward to a happy and healthy relationship.

So, what is a toxic relationship? A toxic relationship is like a parasitic entity that thrives on negativity, control, and emotional imbalance.
It goes beyond the occasional disagreement or misunderstanding; it's a persistent pattern of harmful behaviours that erode one's sense of self-worth and well-being.
These relationships can manifest in various forms, including romantic partnerships, friendships, family or even working relationship ties.
2. Recognising The Red Flags:
Identifying the warning signs or the toxic relationship 'red flags' is a significant first step towards breaking free from its toxic grip. 'What is a toxic relationship' red flags may include constant criticism, manipulation, lack of respect for boundaries, and an unbalanced power dynamic.
